There is a lot of things said about the Gnostic texts by the orthodox church i.e. that the Gnostic Scriptures are heretical!
One simple Bible scripture actually confirms the Gnostic Scriptures to be true:
2 Corinthians 4:1-6
1 Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not;
2 But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.
3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
4 In whom the God of this world (Yaldabaoth, the Demiurge) hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
5 For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.
6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
The hypocrisy of the Catholic Church with regard to the Gnostic texts, YET they worship Mary mother of Jesus as divine, yet this is NOT in the Bible.
Thou Shalt not worship idols - Walk into any Catholic Church - IDOLS everywhere!
According to the Catholic catechism 841 Christians and Muslims worship the same *God.
How can this be true if Muslims do not accept Jesus as the Son of God and the Saviour.
Beware of false prophets and false teachers - the orthodox Church is full of them.

18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
* I would add my own point of view here and say that this is probably true as the Pope will never mention Jesus in the presence of Muslims, only the God of the Bible who is Satan, the Muslim God Allah (Quran 3:54 the Great Deceiver - Satan).

When the Bible was translated from Greek, words would lose their original meaning.
In the original Greek text the word for SORCERIES was PHARMAKEIA.
And in Greek Pharmakeia could mean magic, sorcery, witchcraft, enchantment, drugs or medication, also poison.
Here we have the Bible telling us that the world would be deceived by the people who make drugs, Pharmaceutical Companies - Is it starting to shine a light on the way the world is operating today!
